Senior Python Data Engineer | Hybrid in Houston | ~$180k + Bonus

I’m working with a high-performing investment firm that is looking to hire a Senior Python Data Engineer to play a key role in building and scaling the data infrastructure that underpins their research and investment decisions.

This is a highly impactful role where you’ll own the pipelines that feed critical investment and trading decisions.

• You’ll build large-scale data ingestion systems from scratch, including complex web scraping and alternative data pipelines
• You’ll work directly with decision-makers, not buried in a large engineering org

Key experience they’re targeting:

• Advanced web scraping and automation experience
• Expertise designing and managing high-volume data systems
• Experience handling messy, unstructured, real-world datasets
• Backend engineering skills such as APIs and workflow automation
• Exposure to trading, financial markets, or investment data is a big plus

Compensation:

• Around $180k base salary
• Strong performance bonus linked to fund results
