What You’ll Do…

These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time on-site internships. The summer 2026 internship is expected to begin on May 17, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Projects you could potentially work on include:
  • Research, create and help drive new innovative software applications and components
  • Contribute to the documentation and delivery of software
  • Adhere to coding standards as set by the team lead
  • Develop applications, debugging, and testing new software application
  • Proactively learning about new technologies
  • Defect fixing of their own code and other developer’s codes as required
  • Work with stakeholders, product owner, architect, and others to understand software requirements and design.
What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:
  • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future;
    Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Data Science
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or any programming languages including C#, Angular, ASP.NET Core, C++, Java, Python, WPF, Angular, React Native, Power Apps, Appian
  • Ability & desire to work with a multi-disciplinary (electrical, mechanical & software) team

  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Knowledge on using developer tools like MS Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
What We Offer … Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

  • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
  • Relocation assistance.
Salary Range:

$26/hour for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; $31/hour for students pursuing a Master’s degree; $36/hour for students pursuing a PhD
