About the RoleThe Staff Product Engineer / Web Lead will own the technical direction for the company’s web platform. This includes customer portals, contractor tools, internal dashboards, and data-driven interfaces powered by AI insights.
This role combines system design with hands‑on engineering. You will help establish the frontend architecture, build reusable infrastructure, and deliver high-quality web applications that scale with the platform.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data teams to build intuitive and reliable web experiences used across the ecosystem.
Responsibilities- Define and lead the frontend architecture for all web‑based products across the platform.
- Build core web infrastructure, including shared component libraries, design systems, routing, state management, and data visualization frameworks.
- Partner with product, design, and backend teams to deliver performant, reliable features.
- Implement best practices for modern web development including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Work with AI and data teams to translate analytics and predictive insights into clear user interfaces.
- Mentor engineers as the team grows and contribute to development standards and technical direction.
- Ensure web experiences maintain strong usability, clarity, and visual consistency.
- 8+ years of experience in web development, including building and scaling production products.
- Strong expertise with React, Next.js, Type Script, and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience creating modular frontend platforms with reusable components and maintainable codebases.
- Comfortable working with complex APIs and data‑heavy applications.
- Strong product sense and experience collaborating closely with design teams.
- Familiar with CI/CD workflows, build optimization, observability, and web security practices.
- Hands‑on engineer who enjoys ownership, building quickly, and shipping production‑quality code.
- Strong communicator who can balance product vision, design requirements, and technical tradeoffs.
Fully remote role for US‑based engineers.
