Senior Python Software Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

X4 Engineering is excited to partner with an industry leader with over 30 years of expertise in finance and energy sectors.

The organization trades a wide range of asset classes, including Equities, FX, Commodities, and Energy, across major global markets. They are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Python Software Engineer to join their Commodities trading group, supporting both quantitative and fundamental research across trading desks.

Your responsibilities will include designing Python APIs, developing tools and workflows for exploratory research, creating web interfaces for data exploration, and managing production workflows for real-time forecasting, modeling, and analytics, contributing to their research and trading infrastructure.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience and knowledge of Python.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Python libraries such as Pandas and Num Py.
• Experience with compiled languages like Java, C++, Golang, and Rust.
• Experience with modern data technologies such as Postgre
  
  SQL, Snowflake, and Airflow.
• Experience building and scaling large-scale analysis or machine learning tools.

The role is hybrid, requiring at least 4 days per week in the Houston office.
