Job Description

The Investments Technology team creates world‑class, client‑centric technology solutions that drive competitive advantage, grow our global business, and deliver an investment experience that helps people get more out of life. This Senior Engineer will build and support internal technology platforms and enterprise services, work across functions, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and developer‑friendly solutions aligned with Invesco’s enterprise vision.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the architectural and business‑functional vision for internal applications, platform, and enterprise services.
  • Design and implement processes, applications, and services for the Investment Technology business domain according to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, product, infrastructure, and security teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise goals.
  • Build AWS cloud‑based solutions using cloud services following best practices.
  • Apply Dev Sec Ops  practices and CI/CD maturity using tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Sonar Qube, and Artifactory.
  • Implement system integrations, applying integration patterns and using APIs and data‑integration tools.
  • Leverage industry‑leading AI capabilities to streamline software development and foster an AI‑first approach.
  • Work in an Agile team and manage projects with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Support automation and self‑service engineering across the organization.
  • Mentor team engineers and lead by example in applying best practices and execution excellence.
  • Promote a collaborative and engaging culture across global teams.
Requirements
  • At least 8+ years of professional full‑stack software development experience.
  • Expert understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Deep expertise in object‑oriented programming using Java.
  • Proven hands‑on experience building cloud‑based software solutions on AWS.
  • Experience with cloud‑based database platforms (Snowflake, Postgres, Athena, SQLServer).
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with cloud services (EKS, S3, Airflow, IAM, Lambda).
  • Experience with industry‑standard AI frameworks and tooling, including NLP models, vectorization/embedding techniques, Lang Chain, Amazon Bedrock, and OpenAI APIs (a plus).
  • Advanced UI development experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with Powershell, Python, and kubectl (a plus).
  • Strong proficiency working in Agile development teams.
  • Strong proficiency developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of orchestration and scheduling services such as UAC, Airflow, Autosys (a plus).
  • Exposure to testing and automation tools (JUnit, Selenium, JMeter).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field of study, or equivalent years of direct working experience.
