About the Position:
Intuitive Machines is seeking a Flight Software Developer to join our Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) team. This position will support real‑time navigation flight software development, HWIL navigation sensor integration, performance, and testing. The applicant will be located on‑site at one of the IM main offices in Houston, TX or Glen Burnie, MD. The candidate will work in a cross‑functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on‑orbit operation of flight and ground support software for the Lunar Data Network relay satellites.
Responsibilities:
- Real‑time flight software development and testing
- Integration and test of flight software in software‑ and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments
- Development of software‑ and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments
Requirements:
- MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred
- Experience with C, C++, and Python
- Experience with real‑time software
- Experience with GN&C hardware including IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR and Op Nav
- Experience with SWIL and HWIL testing and integration
- Experience with GN&C sensor testing, planning, and modelling
- Experience supporting a multi‑disciplinary team
- Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
- Experience with JIRA and Agile processes
- Experience with Git version control preferred
Preferred:
- Experience with navigation sensor hardware, Kalman filters, LIDAR, real‑time software, Monte Carlo analysis, C/C++, Python, Trick, Bash, GEONS, CSPICE, GMAT, Monte
- Experience in relative navigation, image processing, and feature detection techniques
- Experience developing high fidelity, hardware/software‑in‑the‑loop PNT or GN&C simulations
