NET Developer V - Digital Payments

Location:

Houston, Texas (Hybrid) 1 day/week

Pay Rate - $60W2

Contract – 1 year

Has 4-5 projects in Digital Payments i.e. how customers pay via app, .com, customer service, inflight purchases, using miles + money, etc.

• (C#,.NET Core8/10), REST APIs, microservices
• AWS-native services:
  Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB, RDS, SQS/SNS, IAM, VPC
• Cloud architecture & leadership: design reviews, mentoring, solution ownership
• Dev Ops: CI/CD (Git Hub Actions/Azure Dev Ops), Docker, Kubernetes, IaC (Cloud Formation/Terraform)
• Observability & reliability:
  Cloud Watch, Dynatrace, logging, monitoring, performance tuning
• AI-assisted development (medium):
  Git Hub Copilot, basic LLM integration

This role supports a digital payments team working on projects related to customer payment systems across various platforms. The position involves programming and building software using  framework, creating new applications, configuring existing systems, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker with strong communication skills.

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
• Improve existing software.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
• Engage in design reviews, mentor team members, and take ownership of solutions.

Experience:

Proven experience as a .NET Developer with a senior skill level (greater than 8 years of experience).

Technical

Skills:

• proficiency, including C#  Core.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns such as MVC.
• Knowledge of AWS-native services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB, RDS, SQS/SNS, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with cloud architecture and Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD (Git Hub Actions/Azure Dev Ops), Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC (Cloud Formation/Terraform).
• Understanding of observability and reliability tools such as Cloud Watch and Dynatrace for logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Git Hub Copilot or basic LLM integration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
