Embedded Firmware Engineering Manager

This full-time opportunity located west of Boston is with an engineering-driven organization that develops advanced control and automation technologies used in robotics, industrial systems, and other high-performance applications. The company is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineering Manager to lead firmware development efforts while remaining hands-on in the design and implementation of real-time embedded solutions. This role is well suited for someone with a strong background in C/C++, embedded systems, hardware integration, and technical leadership.

Required

Skills & Experience

10+ years of embedded firmware development experience
Strong programming experience with C/C++
Experience developing software for real-time embedded systems
Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
Knowledge of microcontrollers, processors, and embedded architectures
Experience with hardware/software integration and debugging
Familiarity with source control and development lifecycle best practices
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Desired Skills & Experience

Python or Verilog experience
RTOS development experience
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
Experience with FPGA-based systems
Motor control, robotics, or automation experience
Understanding of control systems and control algorithms
Exposure to functional safety standards and regulated environments
