Position: Data Engineer (Phython)
Description

Responsibilities

+ Develop scalable, reusable Python applications and services that integrate external data sources, internal platforms, and enterprise databases.

+ Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate operational needs into technical solutions.

+ Design, build, and support data ingestion frameworks, ETL processes, and enterprise data pipelines.

+ Promote code quality, maintainability, and standardization across shared development libraries and tooling.

+ Enhance internal developer utilities, automation frameworks, and data engineering best practices.

+ Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions across multiple business functions.

+ Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 7+ years of professional experience developing applications and data solutions with Python.

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

+ Strong experience designing and supporting data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data integration solutions.

+ Experience working with web data extraction technologies and automated data collection frameworks.

+ Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, SQL development, and stored procedures.

+ Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and service-oriented architectures.

+ Experience working within Agile development environments.

+ Familiarity with source control, code reviews, issue tracking, and software development lifecycle practices.

+ Experience using Python data analysis libraries such as Pandas and Num Py.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+

Experience with in energy, commodities, trading, or other data-intensive industries is a plus.

+ Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
