Fleet Specialist Team Lead, London

Role Summary

We are expanding operations in the UK and are looking for a Fleet Specialist Team Lead to lead warehouse- and in-field operations in London
.

Your mission at Voi

As the Team Lead, you will work under the Senior Team Lead and report directly to them, managing a team of Fleet Specialists and ensuring high-quality service for users and cities. You will oversee tasks related to maintaining, repairing, transporting, repositioning vehicles, and swapping batteries. You will balance managerial duties (hiring, training, performance evaluations) with hands-on operational work in the warehouse or on-site, based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Team Management: conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching, and training of Fleet Specialists.
  • Inventory Management: oversee spare parts and battery inventory to ensure availability and optimal usage.
  • Health & Safety: ensure team members adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards, complete onboarding paperwork, and monitor mandatory training compliance.
  • Incident Management: record, follow up, and investigate incidents, ensuring adherence to workplace accident policies.
  • Contractor Management: support when required for repairs and maintenance in the warehouse as needed.
  • 3PL Coordination: daily contact with 3PL partners to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Van Management: support operational aspects of vans, including installation and removal of tracking devices, but not budget or planning.
What you need to embark

We are looking for a pragmatic and responsible team player who can fulfil tasks, solve problems independently, and work with a team to reach goals. In addition to fluent English, the right person needs:

  • 2+ years of previous work experience
  • Experience managing a team
  • A UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor offenses, no major offenses, and eligibility for our e-Van insurance (you may be required to drive an e-Van occasionally)
  • General understanding of digital work tools (MS Office, G-Suite)
