Precision Glass Industries - Driver Manager

Precision Glass Industries is seeking to hire a Driver Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of drivers Non CDL and CDL. This role involves ensuring that drivers adhere to company policies and safety regulations, optimizing route efficiency, and providing support and guidance to enhance performance and job satisfaction, including effective employee/labor relations, driver retention, and driver safety.

• Interviews, selects, trains, and manages the driver’s workforce.
• Ensures all personnel have been trained and/or retrained according to operational procedures.
• Follows up with new drivers at regular scheduled intervals on their performance.
• Reviews manpower needs and ensures proper coverage.
• Ensure drivers are reporting to work on time and in complete uniform ready to work.
• Ensure employee development by providing ongoing feedback to drivers concerning strengths and areas of needed.
• Investigates and acts on feedback regarding drivers and safe operational practices.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, adherence to all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Ensures that all company standards are met for all drivers in the areas of appearance, training, education, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with HR to address all levels of personnel matters.
• Ensure the following of the CBA to ensure proper handling of grievance process.
• Review electronic DOT logs and
• Monitors on-time performance on a real-time basis.
• Manages employee performance, determining appropriate levels of discipline based on company policy, including executing termination if disciplinary action fails.
• Prepare monthly reports regarding the performance of the driver team, miss deliveries, glass breakage.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite – i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Good Knowledge of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma territory
• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
