Installation Driver

LTL Drivers provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliverie s of customer orders. Drivers make pick-ups as necessary, performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. This job includes longer day trips to our central warehouses to smaller locations. While these trips are normally less than four hours each, there is the potential of occasional overnight trips.

This individual must perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner and by performing the duties listed below.

• Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at vendor and/or branch locations.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules. Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions .
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material.
• Maintain a tidy delivery vehicle .
• Maintain clear isles and walkways.
• Ensure material is properly organized.
• Aid warehouse associates as needed.
• Report back-orders or discrepancies.
• Perform cycle counts as required following through on discrepancies as needed.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed. Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed.
• Assist in performance of year-end physical inventories for various branch locations.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers.
• Specific skills are required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adhering to safety practices.
• Basic math: understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions is required.
• Specific knowledge required to perform the functions of the job includes knowledge of lifting knowledge of good driving practices.

• 0
  -3 years of driving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• DOT Certification may be required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
• May or may not have a c limate controlled environment during normal business hours. This could include unloading delivery trucks and breaking down trash outside.
