HT- Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator 2 contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Forklift operators 2 have demonstrated functional expertise in product staking and replenishment and operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures. Forklift operators 2 are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment, among other duties.

Forklift operators 2 will need to transport valuable items, requiring diligence and good hand‑eye coordination. May view or input information into the warehouse management system, Oracle System transaction, or any other database.

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks and containers, and store them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate within standard operating procedures.
• Operate with the forklift and/or palette jacks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and/or palette jacks.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3 to 6 years of forklift experience
• High School or GED
• Forklift Certification

• Ability to use forklifts, pallets jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.

Some Forklift Operators will spend time in the warehouse’s refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires using safety equipment, including but not limited to steel‑toed boots. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday (standard 40 hours per week); however, evening, night shift, overtime, and weekend hours are common in some branch offices.
