Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) qualifications requirements – English language proficiency under 49 CFR 391.11.

DOT card required or able to obtain it prior to hiring.
Clean background and driving records. Able to pass DOT Physical test, which includes pre‑employment drug testing (12 panels).

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Driver/Installer will be responsible for completing assigned routes for deliveries and pickups of merchandise to be distributed among our clients. The role also includes proper installation following floor plans, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks supporting the warehouse department. This job applies to residential, commercial, special events, and trade show Driver/Installer.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate company vehicles in a professional and courteous manner while observing DOT traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform daily maintenance checks (DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections) and report malfunctions to management.
- Deliver, install, and pick up merchandise from warehouses, vendors, and customers in a timely manner with attention to detail.
- Fill delivery orders by obtaining required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
- Protect all products and items using furniture pads, coverups, and other protection materials supplied by AFR.
- Read, comprehend, and complete all paperwork associated with deliveries, ensuring correct merchandise per invoices and paperwork.
- Maintain the toolkit provided by AFR and notify management of replacements.
- Confirm with client that all items delivered are in good condition and obtained signed delivery documents.
- Inspect the facilities for damage, document findings with photos, and notify manager before installation or pickup.
- Upon picking up furniture, verify condition, notify manager of damage or missing items, and submit photos before loading.
- Relay customer messages and communications to appropriate management.
- Maintain a neat and clean workplace.
- Assist with stocking the shipping and receiving department, lifting and carrying cartons, and placing them on shelves.
- Receive floor plans and execute deliveries with helpers.
- Wear the uniform provided by AFR at all work hours.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and required by management.
- Organization and time‑management skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and meet FMCSA requirements.
- Customer service orientation and problem‑solving ability.
- Available to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to use basic tools (screwdriver, cordless drill, hammer, etc.).
- Basic math knowledge, organization, and reading skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- English verbal and written proficiency.
- At least six months of experience in a similar industry; knowledge of warehousing and inventory from a delivery company or similar.
- Required to be able to operate a 26' box truck.
- Valid driver’s license meeting insurance underwriting requirements (no points or violations in the past 12 months).
- Able to pass DOT physical test, including pre‑employment drug testing (12‑panel).
- Clear background check required.
- May require lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and remaining physically active for extended periods.
- Adhere to and comply with DOT regulations.
