This role will provide hands‑on coordination and execution support for vehicle processing, integrated system testing, transportation, logistics, and ground support activities. The selected individual must bring prior experience supporting the VIPER team or comparable flight vehicle operations, with strong familiarity in clean‑room operations, inspection processes, and vehicle handling logistics. This position will require significant travel and extended periods of work at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in support of VIPER delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Vehicle Manager in execution of vehicle processing, delivery, and post‑delivery activities.
  • Coordinate and support clean‑room operations associated with vehicle integration, inspection, and handling.
  • Support integrated system testing and related vehicle readiness activities.
  • Provide coordination and oversight support for vehicle transportation, movement planning, and associated logistics.
  • Utilize familiarity with ground support equipment (GSE) to support safe and effective vehicle handling and processing.
  • Support inspection activities and ensure compliance with applicable operational and handling requirements.
  • Assist with logistics planning, training, and execution associated with vehicle delivery and post‑delivery support.
  • Interface with cross‑functional teams to ensure vehicle activities are properly coordinated across operations, test, logistics, and facility stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed and spend significant periods of time at KSC to support delivery operations.
Requisition Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5–10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
  • Prior experience supporting the VIPER team or similar spacecraft/vehicle operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with clean‑room operations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting integrated system testing.
  • Experience with vehicle transportation, handling, inspection, and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with ground support equipment (GSE) and its use in vehicle operations.
  • Current crane operator certification is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and spend significant time at Kennedy Space Center in support of VIPER delivery.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and team interface skills in a high‑visibility operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hands‑on support of VIPER vehicle delivery activities.
  • Experience in flight hardware processing, transportation readiness, or launch site operations.
  • Familiarity with NASA or NASA‑contractor operational procedures.

Essential Functions

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
