Job Type: Temporary/Contract (3-6 Months with potential for hire)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Benefits: Medical benefits once eligible
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipping, freight, and transportation activities
- Manage and process documentation such as purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipment records
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials and finished goods
- Monitor shipments, costs, timelines, and operational performance metrics
- Communicate with customers to provide updates and resolve order or shipment issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistics, inventory, and transportation discrepancies
- Track and manage KPIs to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement
- Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities to improve service and reduce costs
- Partner with internal teams, including sales and supply chain, to support operations
- Build and maintain relationships with carriers and service providers
- Monitor vendor performance and assist with basic rate negotiations
- Maintain accurate data within ERP and internal systems
- Proactively anticipate customer and operational needs to prevent delays or disruptions
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
:
- Strong experience with shipping, freight, and transportation coordination
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to improve processes
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred
- Experience with customer service or account management is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics software preferred
- Knowledge of logistics regulations and compliance standards is a plus
