We are seeking a highly organized Carrier Relations Specialist. This role is responsible for building and managing our carrier networks, sourcing trucks, negotiating rates, and ensuring reliable capacity for ongoing projects. You’ll work directly with owner-operators and fleets, playing a key role in keeping jobs moving and scaling our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, source, and onboard qualified owner-operators and fleets to build a reliable carrier network.
  • Actively prospect new carriers through cold outreach, referrals, load boards, and industry networks.
  • Negotiate rates, availability, and service expectations to secure consistent capacity.
Relationship Management & Retention
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers regarding new opportunities.
  • Proactively address issues to retain top-performing carriers and improve network reliability.
Capacity Planning & Market Awareness
  • Work closely with dispatch and operations to align carrier capacity with upcoming project demand.
  • Monitor market conditions, lane demand, and pricing trends To stay competitive and secure trucks.
  • Develop strategies to fill capacity gaps quickly and efficiently.
Performance Tracking & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of carrier onboarding, insurance, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all carriers meet company standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Continuously evaluate carrier performance and optimize the network for reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word).
  • Ability to think quickly under pressure and make decisions with confidence.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
