Account Manager - Import Operations

We are now seeking an Account Manager - Import Operations to manage and support customers focused primarily on inbound ocean freight. This role is centered on post‑booking execution, arrival coordination, and customer communication throughout the import lifecycle.

• Oversee inbound ocean shipments from booking confirmation through final delivery;
• Manage a portfolio of import‑focused customers using the Skypace digital platform;
• Coordinate post‑arrival processes including carrier release, customs clearance, and inland delivery;
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on import execution, timelines, and exceptions;
• Work closely with internal operations, documentation, and customer support teams to ensure smooth shipment flow;
• Monitor shipment visibility, demurrage risk, and service performance to maintain high customer satisfaction;
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce delays, and strengthen long‑term customer relationships.

• You have 4+ years of experience in international freight forwarding with a strong focus on import operations;
• You have previous experience managing customer relationships across port‑to‑door and port‑to‑port shipments;
• You understand key import‑related processes such as carrier releases, customs clearance, and terminal operations;
• You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously;
• You communicate clearly with shippers, BCOs, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
