Logistics Handling Operations Administrator

We have an opportunity for an Export Agent in our JFK Team to coordinate the movement of customers export shipments. You will be the main point of contact for coordination between customer shipments, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.

• Negotiate with domestic and foreign customers to resolve problems and reach mutual agreements.
• Open a file on the dedicated software system for each shipment received.
• Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
• Contact customs officials to effect release of incoming freight and resolve customs delays.
• Receive freight, documentation, and way billing; assess charges; and collect fees for shipments.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months to one year of related experience.
• 3 years of related air export experience and/or training.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• 1–2 years of Cargo Wise experience.
