Position Overview
Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinator position at Maxton Shipping Inc., a global freight forwarder operating across the United States, Europe, Asia, and 62 countries worldwide. The role focuses on managing end-to-end ocean freight shipments, including booking coordination, documentation, carrier communication, and milestone tracking.
Responsibilities- Coordinating shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Communicating with carriers, vendors, and customers.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documents such as bills of lading and invoices.
- Tracking shipment status in the company platform.
- Resolving operational issues in collaboration with internal teams.
- At least 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of carrier schedules, Incoterms, and international shipping documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with TMS platforms and EDI tracking tools (preferred).
