What schedule does this role have? Monday–Friday, 8am – 1pm (part-time).
What does the Air Import Specialist do? This role supports logistics operations by managing international air freight shipments, handling import documentation, and coordinating with airlines, customs brokers, and customers.
Pay for the Air Import Specialist:
- $21 per hour
- Houston, TX, near George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), right off Sam Houston Pkwy (Beltway
8) - Bus line accessible:
The job site is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest METRO stop (Route
6) - Conveniently located near local dining options, including Hot Biscuit
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift, part-time: 8am – 1pm

- Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to coordinate import shipments
- Process and track airway bills and import documentation for air freight shipments
- Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or discrepancies
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide shipment updates
- Use internal systems to track and manage shipment activity
- Maintain accurate records of import activities
- Support daily logistics operations and assist with process improvements
- Experience with international air freight or import operations preferred
- Knowledge of import documentation and customs processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
- Team-oriented environment with strong collaboration and support across departments
- Focused on providing customized logistics and transportation solutions for customers
