Air Import Specialist

All StarZ Staffing is hiring a detail-oriented Air Import Specialist for an immediate opening at a transportation and logistics services company in Houston, TX, near George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). This role focuses on coordinating international air import shipments and managing import documentation for air freight operations. We’re looking for someone with air import and logistics operations experience. This is a part-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Schedule for the Air Import Specialist:

• Monday – Friday
• Day shift, part-time: 8am – 1pm

Air Import Specialist Duties:

• Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to coordinate import shipments
• Process and track airway bills and import documentation for air freight shipments
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or discrepancies
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide shipment updates
• Use internal systems to track and manage shipment activity
• Maintain accurate records of import activities
• Support daily logistics operations and assist with process improvements

Air Import Specialist Qualifications:

• Experience with international air freight or import operations preferred
• Knowledge of import documentation and customs processes
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to maintain regular attendance
