We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations, monitor deliveries, and ensure efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and experience managing drivers, routes, and shipment schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide real-time updates to customers and management.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
- Communicate with drivers regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and customer requirements.
- Track vehicles using GPS and transportation management systems.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and transportation documentation.
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, and customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel, customers, and transportation partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare reports on delivery performance, driver productivity, and operational metrics.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and dispatch software.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements is preferred.
