CDL Driver

Consolidated Pipe & Supply is a national leader in piping, fittings, valves and all accessories for the energy, oil & gas, utility, construction, water, and sewer industries.

We are looking for a CDL Driver to join our team! This is a great opportunity for a dependable, safety‑focused driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service, seeking consistent work, competitive pay and supportive team environment.

Summary

This position requires a Class A CDL License, 21 Years of Age, and a Clean Driving Record with 6 months to 1 year DOT driving experience. The employee will be responsible for transporting freight daily between one or more locations. Must be able to operate a truck with a manual transmission. The ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds is required.

The work environment includes company vehicles and warehouse, plant, or production areas with continual driving/sitting periods and occasional standing or walking. Reading and understanding the information and ideas presented in writing is required. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass all DOT and insurance regulations. Pre‑employment drug screening will be required post‑offer.

Job Functions (Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements)
  • Follow safety rules and work procedures.
  • Drive a 24' straight truck and tractor and trailer to transport materials to and from specified destinations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
  • Prepare receipts for the load picked up. Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
  • May load and unload truck; inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Clean the work area or vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
