BUS DRIVER
Job Description Summary / TWC SummaryUnder general supervision drives university buses, vans or other vehicles to provide prompt and safe transportation for University students and staff. Transports equipment, faculty, staff, and students of the University to local and out-of-state events.
Essential Duties Summary- Transports University vehicles for various departments, including but not limited to Athletics, to local and out-of-state events.
- Maintains log of mileage, fuel and passengers to prepare state required reports.
- Checks to make sure bus is always safe.
- May assist in driver training for other employees.
- May wash clean dump restroom of bus on return from trips.
- Responsible for loading and unloading luggage.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent and specialized or technical training.
Required Licensing/CertificationCDL with passenger endorsement.
Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of- State, Local, and County laws.
- Demonstrates full/complete knowledge in an area. Requires command of technical and functional procedures, processes and subject matter in a job family or professional discipline to handle most situations and lead and/or review the work of others in multiple job classifications performing diverse responsibilities.

Three (3) to five (5) years related experience.
Working/Environmental Conditions- Reach and grasp objects.
- Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, lift or crawl.
- Prolonged standing and/or walking.
- Handle moderate weight objects.
- May require routine travel.
- Work a fluctuating work schedule.
