The Forklift Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of forklifts to move and manage inventory within the warehouse.
Shift & CompensationShift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm
Compensation: $17.00/hour
Responsibilities- Operating forklifts to transport pallets and materials to designated locations.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring secure handling and placement of goods.
- Filling glue totes from the carrier when needed; loading shipping containers as needed.
- Conducting regular equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Assisting in inventory control processes and performing daily inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Organizing the warehouse for safety and efficiency, including maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Following safety standards and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborating with warehouse staff and other departments to meet company objectives.
- Providing training and guidance to junior forklift operators.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
- Supporting put‑away, picking, packing, order staging, and trailer loading tasks.
- Rotating stock using FIFO and assisting with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Reporting shortages, damage, or quality issues to supervisors and Quality Assurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience operating sit‑down propane forklifts in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with basic shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Strong hand–eye coordination, attention to detail, and a safety‑first mindset.
- Effective communication; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift and move packages as required. Comfortable working around moving equipment; may include cold storage or outdoor docks.
