This position is responsible for operating a forklift, as well as picking, packing, sorting, shipping and receiving orders to meet the facility's productivity and quality goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Checks for damaged goods
Verify quantity and quality of order with purchase order
Delivers and retrieves product from storage areas
Tags and issues product
Stocks shelves and rotates inventory
Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
Assembles pallets or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
May operate forklift, reach truck or stand up order picker to move, transport, or hoist material
Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area
Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 - 5 years' experience in shipping and receiving
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience with Outlook 365 apps (due to heavy email traffic)
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
Experience operating Forklifts, Reach Trucks and Order Pickers
Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 7AM
Bilingual preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Reliable transportation
Committed to working safely and following policies and procedures of the operation
Positive attitude; good team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders
