Position Overview
Pay: $92,000 annually.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 12:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m. (Dispatch range). 10‑12 hour shifts.

Primary Responsibilities- Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Act as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations; ensure they meet company safety standards.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and reports any safety hazards immediately.
- Count and check items, verifying customer invoices for loaded products.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
- Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan them, and contact supervisor regarding removal of orders per company policy.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
- Collect payment (cash or checks) where required, load customer returns onto the trailer, and secure trailer doors.
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, bring them to driver check‑in, and complete necessary paperwork; remove trash and keep trailers clear.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter it in the log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL‑A license.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years.
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Attain or hold a valid current DOT Health Card and/or be able to secure a new DOT Health Card.
- Able to hand‑lift and utilize a two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift; product generally ranges between 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds, depending on the location.
- At least 1 year of food service distribution industry experience.
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log system (e.g., People Net).
- Experience with hand‑held point‑of‑delivery scanning system (e.g., POD).
- Customer service–related work experience.
