CDL-A - Tanker truck driver

Overview

Haul freight in tanker trailers with a schedule that allows home time every other weekend, typically completing 4‑10 loads per week.

• Average pay: $1,200–$1,480 weekly
• Mileage pay plus hourly pay while on duty (not driving)
• Weekly performance pay
• Earn up to $0.03 more per mile by obtaining additional CDL certifications
• Paid orientation
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year

• Drive tanker trailers to haul freight
• Maintain safety and compliance with all regulations
• Adhere to scheduled deliveries and home time
• Perform required paperwork and reporting

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Tanker and Haz Mat endorsements required at time of hire
• TWIC card required after hire
• Must live within 150 miles of Houston, TX and be a resident of Texas
