Job Title: Warehouse Associate & Forklift Operator

Location: Houston, TX 77073
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00PM
Compensation: $17- $18/hour DOE
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to join a growing business in North Houston. This multi-faceted role combines manual warehouse responsibilities with specialized shipping/receiving duties and material handling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing their time between operating industrial equipment, verifying inventory paperwork, and keeping our facility streamlined.
Core Responsibilities
- Forklift Operation: Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts safely to move, stack, and stage inventory.
- Shipping & Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, wrap, palletize and label outgoing orders per client documentation.
- Receiving & Logistics: Unload inbound freight, verify goods against packing slips, and report any material defects.
- Palletizing & Labeling: Build stable, secure pallet loads and apply clear, accurate shipping or inventory labels.
- Inventory Control: Conduct routine cycle counts and maintain precise data entries in our warehouse management software.
- Loading Logistics: Safely load shipments onto delivery trucks and secure pallet loads to prevent transit damage.
- Facility Maintenance: Clean, organize, and maintain standard warehouse zones to comply with OSHA safety codes.
- Certification: Forklift operator certification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and remain standing for extended durations.
- Tech Literacy: Basic computer competency for data entry and processing digital shipping manifests.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written English skills for handling day-to-day warehouse paperwork.
- Reliability: Strong punctual attendance habits and a proactive, team-focused workflow mindset.
