Transportation Dispatcher​/Route Coordinator - Waste Management

Company Overview [Insert Company Name], a leading environmental and waste services provider in Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our operations team. We provide critical solid waste, recycling, and industrial services, acting as the daily hub of communication between our drivers, management, and valued customers.

• Route Coordination:
  Assign, schedule, and optimize daily routes for waste and recycling collection vehicles to maximize efficiency and control operational costs.
• Driver Communication:
  Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers in the field, troubleshooting service delays, missed pick-ups, and equipment issues.
• Compliance Management:
  Ensure all drivers comply with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). monitor hours of service (HOS), and verify daily DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
• Issue Resolution:
  Field incoming calls from Customer Service, manage service tickets, and dispatch trucks for same-day resolution.
• Safety & Reporting:
  Monitor route progress via GPS and telematics; document incidents, breakdowns, and injuries while promoting a culture of safety.

• Experience:
  
  2+ years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience. Waste industry or CDL-related experience is highly preferred.
• Software
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Problem-Solving Abilities:
  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Regulations:
  Strong foundational knowledge of DOT and local traffic laws.
