** Responsibilities:
** The Local dispatch agent must assist in routing, scheduling, and assigning truck driver personnel to make local pick up and deliveries in Houston and the surrounding areas.
** Specific

Job Duties:

*** Assisting in the planning and scheduling of local pick up and deliveries.
* Answer high volume calls on a daily basis, respond to requests from customers via email, or phone regarding quotes, pods, or any other inquiries related to the shipment.
* Maintain communication with the driver in order to relay and keep an on-time commitment to the customer.
* Data entry of daily runs, pods, waiting time, and any additional entries that need to be made in regard to that particular file.
* Prepares and maintains a variety of logs, records, and reports of all incoming and outgoing communications.
* Receives, transmits, and otherwise operates various communication devises and computerized information systems## Qualifications
** Requirement
* ** Three to five years relevant work experience
* Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
* Strong communication skills with multi-faceted and diverse backgrounds
* Possesses strong computer skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
