Role Description

The Truck Driver role at JLA MODULAR TRANSPORT LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX. The Truck Driver will operate company trucks to transport modular and other assigned freight, following designated routes and schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, safely loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation. The role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.

The Truck Driver will also communicate with dispatch and customers as needed to ensure timely deliveries and professional service.

Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record, with demonstrated truck driving experience.
  • Needs TWIC
  • Hands-on experience operating commercial trucks Gooseneck, 5th wheel trailer Hauler 8x20 long trailers and safely managing loading and unloading activities.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and general transportation safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections, identify basic mechanical issues, and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Reliable attendance, strong time management skills, and ability to follow route plans and delivery schedules.
  • Good communication skills and professional conduct when interacting with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Ability to lift and move freight as required and work in varying weather and road conditions.
  • Previous experience in modular, flatbed, or specialized transport is a plus; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
