Position SummaryThe Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from affiliated facilities, assisting with luggage, and maintaining vehicle activity and maintenance logs. The driver must maintain a courteous, efficient demeanor and apply safe driving practices.
Responsibilities- Shuttle guests to approved locations using efficient and courteous service.
- Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
- Maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs; inspect vehicle daily for safety and operational functionality.
- Communicate professionally via telephone, radio, and in person with guests and staff, greeting them promptly.
- Ensure guest confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements; protect client financial and identifying information.
- Operate a vehicle seating eight or fewer; perform vehicle inspections, record malfunctions, and submit reports to the manager.
- Provide limited assistance to guests with mobility needs, using wheelchair lifts as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 21 years of age; valid driver’s license with no disqualifying marks.
- Pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screen.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Completion of Wheelchair Safety Training (as required).
- One to three months of related driving or transportation experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to read and comprehend instructions and write correspondence.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and understanding of time and rates.
