General Labor The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload lumber and materials throughout the yard or production area.
- Operate forklifts to move lumber, pallets, and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Stack and organize materials in the yard or warehouse.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Assist with other yard or mill duties as needed.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to safety, surroundings, and load balance.
- Dependable and team-oriented.
