Department Summary

The RAVN Aerospace Flight Operations Department is a mission-focused team of experienced tactical aviators and aviation professionals supporting military training, adversary air, research and development, test and evaluation, flight training, and specialized tactical aviation missions. The department operates with a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, sound judgment, teamwork, tactical excellence, continuous learning, and mission accomplishment.

Position Summary

RAVN Aerospace is seeking former military pilots to continue flying tactical jets in support of purposeful, demanding missions. Depending on qualifications and program assignments, pilots may support adversary air, contracted close air support, research, development, test and evaluation, flight training, operational test support, and aircraft development programs. This part-time position offers military aviators the opportunity to remain connected to the defense mission, train U.S. military personnel and partner nations, and operate aircraft that demand precision, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Requirements
  • Former military pilot with tactical aviation experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, sound judgment, and mission accomplishment.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a disciplined, team-oriented flight operations environment.
  • Ability to maintain all qualifications, medical certifications, training, and currency required for assigned aircraft and missions.
  • Ability to comply with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable federal aviation and defense regulations.
  • Availability to support flight schedules that may include travel and irregular hours based on operational requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances, installation access, and/or airport credentials as required.
Desired Experience / Skills
  • Experience in fighter, attack, adversary air, close air support, flight test, developmental test, operational test, or advanced flight training environments.
  • Military instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, flight lead, mission commander, test pilot, or weapons officer experience.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or allied military aviation programs.
  • Strong communication, briefing, debriefing, and crew resource management skills.
  • Humility, teamwork, tactical excellence, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to adapt to varied aircraft, missions, customers, locations, and program requirements.
