Route Service Technician​/Driver – Trash Cleaning

Starting Pay: $18/hour

Space City Sanitizers is hiring a dependable, hardworking Route Service Technician / Driver for our residential trash can cleaning routes.

This is a hands-on field position. You will drive a company van, box truck, or service vehicle along scheduled routes and professionally clean and sanitize residential outdoor trash cans using our specialized cleaning equipment.

We are specifically looking for candidates who have previous experience driving cargo vans, box trucks, delivery vehicles, or larger vehicles and who are comfortable performing physical outdoor work.

• Safely drive company vans, box trucks, and trash can cleaning vehicles
• Follow assigned residential service routes throughout the Houston area
• Clean, sanitize, and deodorize customers' outdoor trash cans using company equipment
• Operate pressure washing and trash can cleaning equipment safely
• Move trash cans into position for cleaning and return them when service is complete
• Complete scheduled customer stops accurately and efficiently
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
• Keep the service vehicle, cleaning equipment, and work area clean and organized
• Use a smartphone and company applications to document completed services
• Communicate route delays, equipment problems, or customer concerns to management
• Follow company safety procedures and traffic laws
• Represent Space City Sanitizers professionally while working in residential neighborhoods

• Previous experience driving cargo vans, box trucks, delivery vehicles, or larger vehicles
• Valid driver's license
• Safe and responsible driving history
• Comfortable driving throughout the Houston metropolitan area
• Comfortable performing physical work outdoors
• Able to work in Houston heat and changing weather conditions
• Able to repeatedly get in and out of a service vehicle throughout the day
• Able to move and position residential trash cans
• Comfortable operating cleaning and pressure washing equipment
• Able to follow routes, schedules, and service instructions
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Professional attitude when interacting with customers

Previous experience in route service, delivery driving, pressure washing, sanitation, waste services, landscaping, commercial cleaning, or other field-service work is a plus.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, works efficiently, takes care of company equipment, and is comfortable working independently on a route.

This is not a driving-only position. Team members are responsible for both driving the route and completing the trash can cleaning service at each customer stop
