Overview

The Pharmacy Shipper is responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying orders, and coordinating shipments of medications through carriers such as Fed Ex and UPS. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency prior to the cold chain pack-out process.

• Generate accurate shipping labels for Fed Ex and UPS shipments in accordance with patient orders.
• Verify all patient and prescription information matches shipping documentation prior to pack-out.
• Ensure medication bags are correctly labeled and ready for cold chain packaging.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Organize shipments by carrier pickup schedules and assist with staging packages for pack-out.
• Communicate discrepancies, damaged products, or labeling errors to the on-duty pharmacist immediately.
• Assist with inventory tracking of shipping supplies such as labels, tape, cooler boxes, and gel packs.
• Maintain accurate logs of shipments processed, including carrier details and tracking numbers.
• Support cold chain pack-out staff by ensuring orders are pre-verified and ready for packaging.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in pharmacy shipping, healthcare logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Knowledge of Fed Ex and UPS shipping systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.

• Work performed in a pharmacy shipping environment.
• Frequent use of computers, printers, and shipping label systems.
• Coordination with cold chain staff to ensure smooth workflow.

• Full-time, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility for extended hours or weekends as business needs require. Overtime may be required during high production periods.
