Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Material Handlers in Houston, Texas. Warehouse positions pay weekly.

Position Type:
Night shift with schedule Monday - Friday 4:00pm-12:30am. Hourly pay: $17.00 per hour. Overtime pay: $25.50. Night shift premium: $1.50 hourly. Products handled:
Tires. Equipment used:
Sit-down forklift, Cherry picker / Order picker / Stock picker.

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Process day-to-day documentation in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; able to work within a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; high initiative and accuracy
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods and work using health and safety methods
• Flexible availability across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
