Warehouse Team Lead

Job Description

The Warehouse Team Lead will assist in managing daily warehouse operations by helping to implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. The Warehouse Team Lead will be direct, possess excellent communication skills and follow up diligently with managers reporting progress and help manage team members in the respective functions. The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

• Maintains distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programs, operational and safety procedures.
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
• Measure and provide feedback on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and team performance
• Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
• Maintain accuracy in inventory and outgoing shipments
• Provide assistances as needed to internal customers to answer questions or solve problems
• Communicate job expectations and coach team to ensure success and productivity
• Ensure new and current team members are trained properly on all equipment
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse
• Ensures warehouse is set up in an efficient manner to ensure optimal workflow and maintains inventory locations
• Reports incidents and health and safety issue in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned.

• 2-5 years’ experience working in a warehouse
• Ability to map out a warehouse
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations
• Responsible and extremely reliable
• Completion of High School
• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
• Proven experience with cycle counts and physical inventory knowledge
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• 1-2 years' experience as a wire cutter
