Supervisor Logistics Operations

Purpose

The Supervisor – Logistics Operations provides leadership and supervision for all operational activities including inbound receiving, storage, inventory, movement, and outbound shipping of products, materials, supplies, and equipment. This individual focuses on providing excellent customer service and general support to the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.

• Two to four years of relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience leading a team of 10 or more direct reports.
• Proven track record of delivering results, managing processes, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of warehouse safety rules strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
• Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and/or within a team across all levels and diverse cultures.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check.

• Supervise a team of 10 or more employees and manage their workflow to ensure maximum service levels.
• Participate in reviews, performance management, and recognition for employees.
• Coach, train, and mentor DC team members in productivity, quality, and safety.
• Update reports for warehouse use and manage teams’ performance.
• Manage inbound and outbound coordinators for planning and execution purposes.
• Handle and resolve conflict, process team member requests, engage team members proactively, and lead team‑building activities.
• Operate powered lift equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Ensure efficient warehouse flow and planning of daily task activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs.

This is an hourly position that may include hours exceeding eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs and may involve flexible shifts in the AM and/or PM. Occasional travel is required, including air and car travel. The work environment is a warehouse with moderate to noisy ambient noise levels.

Medium physical demand:
Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Requires use of hands and fingers for handling or feeling, and ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
