Hours:

8am - 5pm

Location:

Houston, Tx 77073
Pay Rate: $18 - $19 DOE
Number of Positions Available: 2
Bilingual Spanish / English is Preferred

Responsibilities:

Picks and assembles orders as indicated on the pick list in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner
Works with receiving to unload freezer items from delivery trucks in a timely manner
Inspects received products for damage and volume accuracy and documents accordingly
Accurately stocks inventory in the assigned warehouse location and rotates product inventory to maintain a First-IN, First-OUT (FIFO) food storage system
Partakes in warehouse upkeep and ensures the freezer is clean and organized
Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings
Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
Other duties as required from manager
Obligation to answer to all management as requested

Qualifications:

Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
Has strong communications and interpersonal skills
Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures
Ability to operate both sit-down and reach truck forklift required; certified in both preferred
Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred

Physical Requirements:

Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking
Able to talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Able to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently
Specific vision abilities are required, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and maintain clarity.

Other Requirements:

Conversational level English required;
Business level English preferred
Able to work weekends, holidays, after hours, and 2nd Shift as needed
Has and maintains a clean driving record
Maintains a positive attitude
Works efficiently independently and in a team
Adapts to frequent changes in assignments and workload
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of freezer (temperature under
-10F) experience required

Noise Level: Loud while indoors
Required to wear company provided insulated freezer suit while in freezer
Freezing temperatures between
-10 and
-20 degrees Fahrenheit

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00
