Material Handler

About the Role

Distribution International, part of the Top Build family, is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient warehouse operations with minimal supervision.

• Pick orders using an RF scanning gun.
• Move product and material using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, or trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand truck, electric dolly, or another device.
• Maintain a clean work area and upkeep machines and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Actively participate in periodic workplace safety learning sessions.
• Perform any other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• RF scanning experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Local only, less than 5% required.

• Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products.
• Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand to perform daily work and ladder climbing as needed.
