The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all incoming material activities at the Kirbyville facility. This role ensures accurate receiving, inspection, documentation, storage, and inventory control of materials. The Receiving Supervisor works closely with operations, production, purchasing, and shipping teams to maintain efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities- Assists the Warehouse Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Schedules, supervises, and directs daily activities of receiving personnel.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Enforces company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Transfers materials to trucks for delivery according to established schedules.
- Coordinates internal movement of materials between departments.
- Schedules and monitors inbound and outbound material flow to ensure timely processing.
- Collaborates with production, shipping, purchasing, and other operational departments to improve efficiency and communication.
- Monitors warehouse expenditures and implements corrective actions when necessary.
- Enforces warehouse safety policies and operational guidelines.
- Addresses routine equipment issues; coordinates maintenance requests as needed.
- Maintains compliance with company standards for cleanliness, organization, and equipment usage.
- Maintains accurate data entry, logs, receiving reports, and inventory documentation.
- Assists in developing and improving warehouse procedures and workflows.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
