Location:

Houston, TX 77041

Shift: 1st shift 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday‑Friday (weekends and extended hours as needed)

Job Summary

The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for training, coaching, and evaluating new and existing associates in kitting, packaging, and scan operator functions. The trainer ensures employees understand standard operating procedures, quality expectations, safety requirements, and productivity standards while fostering a positive learning environment. The role collaborates closely with supervisors and leadership to improve performance and maintain operational efficiency.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct job‑specific training for kitters, packaging associates, and scan operators.
  • Demonstrate proper work methods, equipment operation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train associates on warehouse safety policies, PPE requirements, ergonomics, and housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor employee performance during training and provide coaching to improve productivity and quality.
  • Verify associates understand quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Train employees on barcode scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and production documentation as required.
  • Observe work performance and identify additional training opportunities.
  • Evaluate trainee progress and communicate performance updates to supervisors.
  • Assist with cross‑training employees in multiple warehouse functions.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Reinforce attendance, workplace policies, and company procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a culture of safety.
  • Assist supervisors with process improvements and continuous training initiatives.
  • Perform periodic refresher training and retraining when needed.
  • Support production needs by working in warehouse operations as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Previous training, coaching, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in kitting, packaging, and scan operations.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and barcode scanners.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
