Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator

LOCATION:
Houston, TX

Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to support IT services and construction operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, maintaining warehouse operations, and ensuring materials and equipment are accurately tracked from receipt through final deployment or return.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in both warehouse and office environments, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and can effectively collaborate with vendors, clients, project managers, and field technicians to keep projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • Track inventory from delivery through storage, deployment, installation, and return.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all client equipment and construction project materials.

  • Organize, label, and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse with clearly identified storage locations.

  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Monitor inventory movements and maintain accurate records within the inventory management system.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Prepare materials for upcoming installations and ensure they are complete and ready for scheduled deployments.

  • Pull materials and equipment for field technicians and deliver materials to job sites as needed.

Logistics & Shipping
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments using Fed Ex, UPS, freight carriers, and local courier services.

  • Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation for freight shipments.

  • Coordinate drop shipments to client locations and provide shipment tracking information.

  • Monitor open purchase orders and communicate with vendors regarding shipment status, estimated delivery dates, and tracking information.

  • Ensure materials arrive on time to support project schedules.

Equipment & Asset Management
  • Coordinate the issuance, tracking, and retrieval of laptops, monitors, and other IT equipment for employee onboarding and offboarding.

  • Maintain accurate asset records throughout the equipment lifecycle.

  • Receive, inspect, document, and return equipment to inventory following employee offboarding or project completion.

Vendor & Returns Coordination
  • Coordinate returns, RMAs, and replacement shipments with vendors.

  • Track damaged or missing materials through resolution.

  • Follow up with vendors to ensure returns are processed and credits are issued.

  • Maintain complete documentation for all vendor claims and return activities.

Operations Support
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations personnel, IT teams, and field technicians to ensure equipment and materials are available when needed.

  • Generate inventory, logistics, and warehouse reports as requested.

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  • List excess or obsolete materials for sale through approved online marketplaces.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or a similar role.

  • Experience supporting IT, construction, or project-based environments is highly preferred.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.

  • Experience working with shipping carriers, freight companies, and vendor portals.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds and operate a pallet jack.
