Full Time Warehouse Houston, TX, US

Salary Range: $17.82 to $17.82 Hourly

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
• Maintains housekeeping and safety of facility by monitoring levels of trash in compactors, open-top containers, and trash line, removing and baling cardboard from trash line and reporting trash levels.
• Processes merchandise and pallets by moving pallets to staging areas and put away locations using power equipment.
• Ensure sufficient quantities of boxes are available for order fillers by monitoring levels and replenishing as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in warehouse, retail, or distribution, previous experience in warehouse distribution, retail, or material handling environments preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, housekeeping, and compliance with company policies
• Ability to adapt to changing work demands and priorities
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend twist, reach, and lift up to 60 pounds

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and walk for extended period of time
• Frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach below the knees
• Must be able to visually inspect equipment, read small print, and verify information on screens and labels
• Requires the ability to hear and communicate effectively in environments with elevated noise levels
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed, including but not limited to protective footwear, eye protection, and fall protection
• Work performed primarily in warehouse, distribution, or operational facility environments
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold, and wet, damp, or drafty conditions
• Work around moving equipment vehicles
