About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor leads daily inbound and outbound operations, acting as the primary driver of floor productivity. This role is designed to oversee order fulfillment, manage warehouse staff, and ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods. By bridging the gap between strategic goals and physical execution, this leader ensures our floor operations seamlessly support our 3PL clients, meeting strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while maintaining a culture of safety and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Inbound & Outbound Oversight:
    Direct and coordinate all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, sorting, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping out of the Houston facility to ensure strict adherence to 3PL client SLAs.
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise, train, and mentor forklift operators, material handlers, pickers, and packers. Monitor daily performance, provide real-time coaching, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Reporting & KPI Management:
    Compile and distribute comprehensive end-of-shift and end-of-day reports detailing production metrics, labor hours, and operational performance. Ensure all warehouse activities consistently meet or exceed proper KPI standards and client-specific requirements.
  • Workflow Optimization:
    Monitor real-time floor activity to ensure balanced workloads and shift resources as needed to prevent bottlenecks in either receiving or order fulfillment.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Champion a culture of safety by enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Lead daily stand-up meetings, conduct regular safety training, and ensure an audit-ready facility.
  • Staffing & Scheduling:
    Manage shift schedules, approve PTO requests, monitor overtime, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet fluctuating 3PL volume demands.
  • System Management:
    Utilize the WMS to track order progress, manage dock scheduling, and ensure data integrity across all client accounts.
  • Equipment Management:
    Ensure all material handling equipment (MHE) is properly maintained, inspected daily, and operated safely by certified personnel.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in a 3PL or high-volume distribution center, focusing heavily on outbound fulfillment, inbound receiving, and team management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF/barcode scanning technology, and basic Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications.
  • Deep understanding of managing multiple client accounts, varying SKUs, and unique routing guides simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance labor hours against operational output to meet productivity KPIs.
  • Prior certification or experience managing operators of warehouse equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Electric Pallet Jack) and enforcing safe driving habits.
  • Exceptional professional etiquette for occasional client-facing interactions and clear, authoritative communication for leading the warehouse team.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and a proactive approach to operational problem-solving.
Required Skills
  • 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, specifically within a high-volume 3PL environment.
  • 1–3 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Expert-level experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and optimizing daily workflows.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to guide internal teams and collaborate with client success managers.
