WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

The warehouse Assistant is responsible for various tasks related to the efficient management of our warehouse operations. The individual needs to be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will be:
  • Control and execute inventory activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipments and adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain inventory control by applying methodologies such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out), LIFO (Last-In, Last-Out), and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out), ensuring accurate records of stock and reporting daily inbound and outbound activities
  • Perform regular cycle counts of materials and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize the warehouse layout to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Handle requests for sample shipments by preparing and labeling shipments correctly, coordinating with carriers to ensure prompt deliver.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse regulations to prevent incidents as needed.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain records of warehouse expenses and assist in tracking sources of income
  • Assist in assembling product samples or handling special deliveries related to marketing campaigns and promotions, depending on availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college education is a plus).
  • 1-year previous experience in warehouse operations or a related field.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems is preferred.
  • English language – (intermediate/advanced).
  • Ability to organize and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Warehouse Equipment Handling Certification (forklift certification is essential).
  • Food Handling Certification (desirable).
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software.
  • Ability to follow instructions, organization and planning, time management, analytical and synthesis skills, results-oriented, customer service focus, verbal and written communication, problem-solving ability.
Physical demands:

The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The team member is frequently required to stand and walk.

The employee is occasionally required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
