Logistics Associate

Description:

Position focuses on internal and external logistics, inventory control, and coordination with shipping partners.

• Primary function is to perform inbound logistics, dock‑to‑dock inventory location controls, and outbound logistics.
• Interface with the inventory control system through the legacy system to quote customer equipment.
• Remain updated on all PSI program changes and comply with Anexo 24 and Article 303 to avoid penalties, fines, or loss of import privileges.
• Maintain continuous communication with the U.S. warehouse, shipping department, and freight companies to verify documentation and timely pickup of shipments.
• Keep parts (raw materials) on the PSI database updated with cost information.
• Maintain a daily report on all import/export movements (departure and arrival times, red‑light inspections, etc.).
• Follow up on all shipments from plant/warehouse departure to destination, informing all stakeholders (U.S. warehouse, shipping, production, supervisor, plant manager).
• Enforce strict control on truck safety seals in line with C‑TPAT requirements.
• Create imported and exported equipment reports for the accounting department, including monthly statistics reports for SECON and an annual operations report for SECON.
• Inspect products based on a quality checklist, notify supervisor of discrepancies, and record inventory transactions.
• Make routine adjustments to work area machines or systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–1 year of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand routine written procedures, notices, bulletins, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts toward group objectives and collaborate to reach joint decisions.

• Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills with written and oral communication abilities to influence and motivate others for higher‑level positions.
• Logistics knowledge and experience preferred.
