** Job Overview
** The Parts and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory of parts and supplies for the company’s operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely procurement, and efficient distribution. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational readiness by managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, supervising parts runners, and ensuring the parts room remains clean, organized, and efficient.

- ** Key Responsibilities
*** Manage the daily operations of the parts room and inventory storage areas.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts room at all times.
* Supervise and stay on top of all parts runners to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
* Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts and supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Track and manage all parts purchases, invoices, and receipts.
* Ensure all purchase receipts are properly documented and submitted to the Accounts Payable (AP) department in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
* Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries.
* Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
* Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Ensure parts are properly labeled, organized, and stored to facilitate easy retrieval.
* Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to anticipate parts needs and support project planning.
* Oversee the return and warranty process for defective or unused parts.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations in the parts and inventory area.
* Supervise and train parts clerks, inventory assistants, and parts runners as needed.## Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3–5 years of inventory or warehouse management experience, preferably in a fleet, maintenance, or industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of inventory control practices and supply chain logistics.
* Experience handling invoices, receipts, and working with AP departments.
* Proficiency in inventory software systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine physical inventory tasks.
* Forklift certification a plus.·--
